Wilaya of El Aaiun (Refugee Camps), November 22, 2024 (SPS) - Member of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front, Minister of Public Health , Mr. Salek Baba Hasena, received Friday an Italian delegation from the Tuscany region, on a solidarity and support visit for the Sahrawi people in the Daira of Guelta, Wilaya of El Aaiun.
The delegation includes representatives from the municipalities of Sesto Fiorentino, Montespertoli, and Montemurlo, as well as members of the "Ban Slout Larbi" Association, teachers, and students.
During the meeting, the Minister expressed his gratitude for the visit, highlighting the solidarity and continuous support for the Sahrawi cause. In particular, he praised the gesture from the municipality of Montemurlo, the Ban Slout Larbi Association, and the Trekkina Group, who donated a fully equipped ambulance with medical materials and equipment for the regional hospital of Auserd.
The Minister provided a detailed presentation on the situation of the Sahrawi people and the health challenges they face in the refugee camps.
For their part, the Italian delegation reaffirmed their commitment to continue supporting the just struggle of the Sahrawi people for their right to freedom and independence.
