Boujdour (Refugee Camps), 27 October 2024 (SPS) - The ARTIFARITI cultural event, focusing on art and human rights, was inaugurated on Saturday, in the wilaya of Boujdour, Sahrawi refugee camps, with the participation of artists and creators from different continents.
The opening ceremony of the event was attended by the Prime Minister, member of the National Secretariat, Bushraya Hamoudi Beyoun, and the Minister of Culture, Musa Salma, as well as members of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front, the SADR government, as well as officials from the Sahrawi Ministry of Culture.
During the opening ceremony, the governor of Boujdour, Ms. Al-Diah Mohamed Chaddad, welcomed in her speech all the participants in this cultural event, considering it a solidarity station that enhances the great role played by Sahrawi art through advocacy for the struggle of the Sahrawi people.
For his part, Minister of Culture Moussa Salma highlighted the importance of the event and its role in conveying the struggle of the Sahrawi people through art that brought together the five continents in this event to express their support for the justice of the Sahrawi cause.
ArtTifariti is also considered a window on Sahrawi culture, which has become an important weapon in the battles of liberation and construction, in addition to being an international forum on arts and human rights that brings together Sahrawi artists with their counterparts from different countries in defense of the Sahrawi cause.
The current edition of this cultural event continues until November 2nd, with many expected workshops and cultural events.
