Chahid El-Hafed (Sahrawi Republic), 23 September 2024 (SPS) – Following the heavy rainfall that struck the Wilaya of Dakhla in the Sahrawi refugee camps, the Ministry of Public Health swiftly mobilized and deployed its teams for relief and rescue operations, utilizing its logistical equipment to provide urgent assistance to those affected.
Today, an emergency field hospital was established, equipped with essential medicines and medical supplies, as well as an ambulance and other service vehicles.
The hospital is managed by a comprehensive medical team to ensure medical care for all patients, particularly in the affected areas of the province (Al-Aarqub, Jrayfiya, and Umm Dreiga) due to the heavy rains and floods in Dakhla refugee camp.
The field hospital was set up under the supervision of the Minister of Public Health, Salek Baba Hassana, along with several directors from the ministry’s central administration, and a team of doctors, nurses, and technicians from the National Health Complex Bashir Saleh. (SPS)
