Algiers, 16 April 2024 (SPS) - The president of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, was received Tuesday in Algiers by his Algerian counterpart, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
During the meeting, emphasis was placed on the right of the Sahrawi people to self-determination and independence, as guaranteed by international conventions and resolutions.
The meeting also addressed a number of issues of mutual interest.
The meeting took place in the presence of the Algerian chief of staff of the People's National Army, General Saïd Chanegriha, and the chief of staff to the presidency of the Republic, Boualem Boualem.
The meeting was also attended by Sahrawi officials, namely the minister advisor for Diplomatic Affairs, Mohamed Salem Ould Salek, the chief of Staff of the People's Liberation Army, Mohamed El Ouali Akik, and the ambassador of the to Algiers, Abdelkader Taleb Omar.
