Shaheed Hafed, 26 January 2024 (SPS) - A Spanish delegation from the province of La Rioja has embarked on a working visit to the Sahrawi refugee camps that will last several days.
Upon arrival, the delegation received an official and popular reception in the Daira of Hawza in the wilaya of El Aaiún. The delegation also held meetings with the authorities of the Daira, which has a twinning relationship with the La Rioja region. The delegation led a visit to some regional facilities in the wilaya, as well as national institutions and facilities.
Mr. Rodrigo Marco, the Cooperation Director of La Rioja, expressed his happiness with this visit, which allowed him to see numerous institutions and facilities, commending the significant efforts made by the Sahrawi state in various sectors.
He emphasized support of La Rioja Solidarity Coordination Committee for the just Sahrawi cause and its promotion on a global level, noting that the visit reflects the level of political and humanitarian solidarity with the struggle of the Sahrawi people.
