Bir Lahlou (Liberated Territories), 8 January 2024 (SPS) - Units of the Sahrawi People’s Liberation Army (SPLA) targeted has Moroccan bases in the areas of Laakad and Akuiret Ould Ablal, in the Mahbes sector, according to the Central Directorate for Political Affairs of the SPLA, in its military statement today, Monday.
The statement indicated that "in the framework of the liberation war and the continuation of the military work of the SPLA fighters, advanced detachments of the SPLA fighters carried out concentrated strikes on Monday afternoon, targeting a Moroccan base in the Laakad area of the Mahbes sector, in addition to shelling enemy bases and trenches in the Akuiret Ould Ablal area of the same sector."
"The attacks of the SPLA continue, targeting the strongholds of the Moroccan occupation forces, which have suffered heavy losses in lives and equipment, along the Wall of Shame (the sand wall)," the statement adds.
