Shaheed Al Hafed, 26 November 2023 (SPS) - President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, warned of Morocco's expansionist and aggressive policies that threaten peace and security in the region, reaffirming the permanent readiness of the Sahrawi side to cooperate and coordinate with neighboring countries to counter these risks and establish peace and stability in the region.
In his speech during the opening of the third ordinary session of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front, President Ghali explained that in view of the consequences that the occupying power is suffering from its aggressive war against the Sahrawi people, as a result of the steadfastness and heroism of our people, and in the forefront the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army, it is resorting to a policy of escalation and aggression, including targeting defenseless civilians with sophisticated weapons of destruction, using drugs, and supporting and encouraging organized crime gangs and terrorist groups.
In the same context, President Ghali reiterated the commitment of the Sahrawi Republic to cooperate and coordinate between the countries of the region to counter the aggressive and expansionist practices of Morocco that threaten peace, security, and stability in the entire region.
On the other hand, President Ghali stressed that the United Nations is required to expedite the end of the illegal Moroccan military occupation of Western Sahara, by completing the decolonization of the last colony in Africa, through enabling the Sahrawi people to exercise their inalienable right to self-determination and independence.
