Algiers, July 10, 2025 (SPS) – Mr. Khatri Adouh, member of the National Secretariat, Ambassador to Algeria, received representatives from Algerian civil society organizations, including Mr. Mohamed Abbad, President of the Mechaal El-Chahid Association, along with Mr. Mouhrez El-Amari, former President of the Algerian National Committee for Solidarity with the Sahrawi People and Secretary-General of the Friends of the Algerian Revolution Association.
The meeting, held at the Sahrawi Embassy, is part of the ambassador's ongoing engagements with representatives of Algerian civil society to coordinate and prepare joint solidarity programs with the embassy.
Discussions focused on the solidarity and support provided by Algerian civil society organizations to the Sahrawi people, as well as preparations for upcoming political, cultural, and sports solidarity activities. Among these is the anniversary commemoration of the passing of the African leader Nelson Mandela—one of the icons of liberation struggles—scheduled for the end of this month in Algiers, where the Sahrawi cause will be strongly highlighted.
The ambassador expressed his deep appreciation and gratitude to the delegation members and, through them, to the Algerian people and government for their unwavering support and steadfast positions in advocating for the Sahrawi people’s right to self-determination and independence.
