El Aaiun (refugee camps), 8 August 2022 (SPS) - President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, affirmed that the new war of liberation requires the skills and abilities that students have, praising the role of students in the battles of liberation and construction.
In his speech at the closing of the 4th Congress of the Union of Sahrawi Students, President Ghali stressed that "the new war of national liberation with its developments and its broad fronts, requires the capabilities and skills available to Sahrawi students to contribute, not only to the direct confrontation on the ground, but also to counter the policies, conspiracies and psychological wars of the enemy.
For him, the Sahrawi student organization, one of the pillars of the Polisario Front "is now entering a promising new phase of struggle. This is an affirmation of the participation and the axial role of Sahrawi students in the battle for national liberation.
President Ghali hailed the efforts and achievements during the previous term, both at the level of the internal front and the adherence of the organization in the programs and the various national deadlines, including the material and human support to the Sahrawi Army, as well as the summer programs and the external presence of the national cause, both diplomatic and media.
The presence of Sahrawi students in the vanguard of the national liberation struggle under the leadership of the Polisario Front "is a historical reality and a source of pride and prestige that marked the Sahrawi revolution," he said.
Like all categories and components of society, underlined Mr. Ghali, students are deployed, since the beginning of the liberation war, on different fronts, including the Sahrawi liberation army.
