German NGO asks its government not to give in to Moroccan blackmail

Berlin (Germany), Jan 19, 2022 (SPS) - The German NGO "Freedom for Western Sahara" Wednesday asked the new German government not to give in to the blackmail of the Moroccan occupation state to the detriment of international legality in the conflict of the Western Sahara, an issue that is registered as a case of decolonization.

SPLA attacks occupation forces positions in the Mahbes sector

Bir Lehlu (Sahrawi Republic), Jan 19, 2022 (SPS) – The Saharawi Popular Liberation Army (ELPS) has attacked Wednesday the positions of the Moroccan occupation forces with heavey and intense bombardments in the Mahbes sector.
According to War Report No. 433 made public by the Ministry of National Defense, forward detachments of our army launched heavy and intense bombardments against the positions and entrenchments of the enemy forces in the Gararat Al-Firsik and Udei Adamran regions, in the Mahbes sector.

Public Health Ministry announces the results of the epidemiological situation in the camps for the past week

Chahid El-Hafed, Jan 18, 2022 (SPS) - The Ministry of Public Health has today announced the results of the epidemiological situation in the Saharawi Refugee Camps for the week that is ending.
According to information provided by the ministry, last week fifteen (15) new cases of COVID-19 have been registered, twenty-two (22) cases have fully recovered and one case has died.

SPLA carries out new attacks against Moroccan occupation forces in Farsia sector

Bir Lahlou (Liberated Territories), 17 January 2022 (SPS) - Units of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army (SPLA) carried out Monday new attacks against the positions of the Moroccan occupying forces in the Farsia sector, indicated the Ministry of Defense in its communiqué N431.
According to the communiqué, "advanced detachments of the Sahrawi army intensified on Monday their bombardments against the entrenchments of the Moroccan occupation forces in the areas of Agrarat Shedida and Agrarat Lahdid (Farsia).

Algiers, 17 January 2022 (SPS) - Sahrawi ambassador to Algiers, Abdelkader Taleb Omar said Saturday he was "optimistic" about the visit of Personal Envoy of the UN Secretary-General for Western Sahara, Staffan de Mistura to the region, wishing that the peace process would succeed in the last colony in Africa.
"certainly, we are optimistic about the results of the visit of the UN Personal Envoy," said the Sahrawi diplomat at the memory forum organized by "Mechaal Echahid" association.

Smara (Sahrawi refugee camps) - The Personal Envoy of the UN Secretary General for Western Sahara, Staffan de Mistura, began Saturday his visit to the Sahrawi refugee camps from the wilaya of Smara, the second stage of his first tour in the region since his appointment last November.
After the popular welcome he received in the wilaya of Smara, Mr. De Mistura was received by the governor of the wilaya, Ms. Mariam Salek Ahmada, as well as members of the People's Assembly of wilaya and members of the Office of the Advisory Council.

Tindouf, 15 January 2022 (SPS) - The personal envoy of the UN Secretary General for Western Sahara, Mr. Staffan de Mistura, arrived Saturday at Tindouf Airport, where he was welcomed by the representative of the Polisario Front to the United Nations (UN) and coordinator with MINURSO, Mr. Sidi Mohamed Omar.
Accompanied by a UN delegation, Mr. Staffan de Mistura visited the Sahrawi refugee camps in Smara, the second stop of his first tour in the region since his appointment last November.

Shahid Al-Hafed, Jan 12, 2022 (SPS) - The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Ibrahim Ghali, launched today the national symposium on cooperation and humanitarian support at the headquarters of the Sahrawi Ministry of Cooperation.
The seminar was launched in the presence of the Prime Minister, Bushraya Hamoudi Bayoun, the Minister of Cooperation Ms. Fatma al-Mahdi, and members of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front, government and parliament.
