Germany donates € 1 million to Sahrawi refugees

Algiers, June 09, 2016 (SPS) – Germany approved € 1 million in humanitarian aid to the Sahrawi refugees so to meet the urgent needs in food and improve health care, said Wednesday Germany Embassy to Algiers in a communiqué.
"Germany has allocated 1 million Euros in humanitarian aid to each of the World Food Program projects (WFP) and the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR)," said the embassy in a statement received by APS.

MEP Paloma Lopez denounces “systematic violations” of Sahrawi people’s rights by Morocco

Brussels June 09 2016 (SPS) - Spanish member of the European Parliament Paloma Lopez denounced Thursday the “systematic violations” of human rights that the Moroccan occupying forces are committing in the occupied territories of Western Sahara to repress the Sahrawi citizens claiming their social, economic and political rights.
This member of Parliament expressed her indignation at the “the violent suppression” against Sahrawi demonstrators in search of social justice and condemning the assassination of Sahrawi trade unionist Brahim Saika.

Conference in Canary Islands on "Peace process in Western Sahara, human rights"

Madrid, June 09 2016 (SPS) - Experts in international law, jurists and Spanish activists supporting the Sahrawi cause will partake Friday in the Canary Islands in a conference entitled "Spanish towns stand by the Sahrawi people," President of the National Federation of Institutions Working in Solidarity with the Saharawi People (FEDISSAH) Carmelo Ramirez announced.

Extraordinary Congress Preparatory Committee of Polisario Front holds its first meeting

Chahid El Hafed, June 08, 2016 (SPS) - the National Preparatory Committee of the Extraordinary Congress of the Polisario Front holds today its first meeting at the presidential headquarters, in the presence of the Permanent Bureau of the National Secretariat.
The National Preparatory Committee comprises 84 members of the National Secretariat and the government and executives of the various sectors of the state and movement, headed by Member of the National Secretariat, responsible of the Political Organization of PF, Mr. Brahim Gali.

Addis Ababa, June 5, 2016 (SPS) - NEPAD Agency Chief Executive Officer Dr. Ibrahim Assane Mayaki has expressed profound condolences over the passing away Tuesday of president of Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario front, Mohamed Abdelaziz, considering it a great loss for the Sahrawi people and for the peoples of Africa, in a letter to Speaker of the National Council, the acting President of the Republic, Khatri Adouh.

Geingob, reiterated his country’s firm support to the struggle of the Sahrawi people for the independence, sovereignty and integrity of Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, in a letter to the Speaker of the National Council, the acting President of the Republic, Khatri Adouh, over the passing on Tuesday of President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Mohamed Abdelaziz.

We make peace offer to Morocco to end occupation of Western Sahara

Shahid El Hafed (Refugee camps)- Sahrawi Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohamed Salem Ould Salek affirmed Friday that the Sahrawi people are making an offer of peace to Morocco to end its occupation of Western Sahara.
“The Sahrawi people and leaders want that the Moroccan regime stops this adventure which cost Morocco and the entire region a lot,” said the Sahrawi minister in a statement to APS on the sidelines of the funeral of Sahrawi President Mohamed Abdelaziz.

Bir-Lehlou (Liberated Zones), June 04, 2016 (SPS) - The President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Martyr Mohamed Abdelaziz, was buried Saturday in the town of Bir-Lehlou, the liberated zones of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR.
The Interim President, Khatri Addou, attended the funeral of martyr Mohamed Abdelaziz in presence of members of the Polisario Front's National Secretariat and the Government of the SADR, the General Staff of SPLA, members of the National Council, as well as foreign delegations.

Shahid El Hafid (Refugee Camp)- The speaker of the Algeria Council of the Nation (upper house of Parliament), Abdelkader Bensalah on Friday paid tribute, in the Saharawi refugee camps of Shahid El Hafid, to the memory of president of the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) and secretary general of the Polisario Front, Mohamed Abdelaziz, passed away Tuesday following a long illness.
