SPLA targets positions of Moroccan occupation forces in Amgala sector

Bir Lehlou (Liberated Territories), 5 May 2025 (SPS) – The Sahrawi People’s Liberation Army (SPLA) carried out a "precision" bombardment, targeting five positions of the Moroccan occupation forces in the Amgala sector, according to a statement of the Central Directorate of Political Affairs of the Sahrawi Army.

The statement confirmed that advanced units of the SPLA "executed a concentrated bombardment yesterday, Sunday, striking five positions belonging to the Moroccan military in the Amgala sector."

The shelling hit:

A command headquarters of a regiment in the Akliyeb Al-Aich area,

A Moroccan military base south of Amagli Azklem,

A Moroccan military base in the Amagli Lakouira area, which was struck twice consecutively.

Additionally, SPLA units bombarded an outpost of the Moroccan occupation forces in the Amagli Lefteek area, as well as their trenches in the Oudi Erk area.

The statement noted that the Sahrawi Army's attacks continue to target strongholds of the Moroccan occupation forces, which have suffered "heavy losses in lives and equipment along the Wall of Shame and Humiliation."
