Shaheed El Hafed, May 3, 2025 (SPS) – The General Leader of the Algerian Islamic Scouts, Abderrahmane Hamzaoui, headed a delegation from his organization on a visit to the Sahrawi refugee camps, as part of efforts to strengthen solidarity and cooperation with the Sahrawi people.
The visit began with an official reception at the headquarters of the Sahrawi Scouts and Childhood Organization, led by its General Leader, Jamal Brahim. The meeting served as an opportunity to welcome the delegation and express gratitude for Algeria's steadfast positions in support of the Sahrawi cause, in addition to exploring ways to enhance cooperation between the two organizations.
During the second leg of the visit, Mr. Abderrahmane Hamzaoui and his accompanying delegation were received by Mr. Mustapha Mohamed Ali Sid Bashir, a member of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front, Minister of Occupied Territories and Diaspora Affairs, who was accompanied by the Governor of wilaya of Boujdour, Ms. Dih Mohamed Shaddad, the Secretary-General of the Sahrawi Youth Union (UJTSARIO), Ali Mohamed Salem, as well as members of the Sahrawi National Council.
To conclude the visit, a mass reception was held in Boujdour Camp in honor of the General Leader and his delegation. The event began with welcoming speeches from attendees, followed by an address by the General Leader of the Algerian Islamic Scouts, in which he expressed Algeria’s unwavering solidarity with the Sahrawi people and reaffirmed unconditional support for their right to self-determination.
As part of this visit, the General Leader presented a gift of scout uniforms to members of the Algerian Islamic Scouts, along with a humanitarian aid convoy initiated by the Nour El Houda group. A special tribute was also paid to the Governor of Boujdour, Ms. Dih Mohamed Shaddad.
