
Algiers, April 28, 2025 (SPS) – The Bureau of the Diplomatic Forum in Solidarity with the Sahrawi People, held a meeting at the Sahrawi Embassy in Algiers in preparation for the upcoming expanded meeting of the Forum’s members, scheduled to take place in the coming days at the South African Embassy.
The meeting was attended by the Dean of the African Diplomatic Corps and Namibian Ambassador to Algeria, Her Excellency Panduleni-Kaino Shingenge, and served as an occasion to bid farewell to the Venezuelan Ambassador, Mr. Juan Bautista Arias Palacio, whose diplomatic mission in Algeria has concluded.
The meeting provided an opportunity to review the latest developments in the Sahrawi cause. The member of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front, Sahrawi Ambassador to Algeria, Abdelkader Taleb Omar, briefed the Forum’s Bureau members on recent updates regarding the Sahrawi issue, highlighting international positions supporting the Sahrawi people’s right to self-determination.
The ambassadors expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the cooperation and efforts extended by the Venezuelan Ambassador during his work with the Diplomatic Forum in Solidarity with the Sahrawi People. They wished him success in his future endeavors and prosperity for Venezuela.
