Wilaya of Dakhla, April 21, 2025 (SPS) – The 10th Congress of the General Union of Workers of Sakia El Hamra and Rio de Oro (UGTSARIO) concluded its proceedings on Sunday evening, issuing a series of messages and recommendations.
In this regard, the Congress sent a message to the Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, President of the Republic, Mr. Brahim Ghali, and through him to the political leadership, reaffirming their unwavering readiness to engage in all decisions made by this leadership to help our people achieve its aspirations for freedom and independence.
The participants renewed their commitment to sacrifice and dedication, following in the footsteps of the predecessors—the fighters of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army and the militants of the Polisario Front—embodying the spirit of the army’s slogan in the path of November 13, 2020.
The Congress also issued a series of messages, including:
- A message to the fighters of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army
- A message to our people in the occupied territories and southern Morocco
- A message to the Sahrawi diaspora
- A message to the General Union of Algerian Workers
- A message to Algerian trade unions
- A message to Mauritanian trade unions
- A message to Spanish trade unions
- A message to South African trade unions
- A message to the Arab Trade Union Confederation
- A message to the Workers' Central Union of Cuba
- A message to the General Union of Workers of Latin America and the Caribbean
- A message to the International Trade Union Confederation
Regarding recommendations, the 10th UGTSARIO Congress issued one on national unity and another on professional unions.
Additionally, the Congress received messages of support and solidarity from national and international organizations, personalities, Sahrawi and international trade unions, and associations.
