Wilaya of Dakhla, April 20, 2025 (SPS) – The proceedings of the 10th Congress of the Workers' Union of Saguia El Hamra and Rio de Oro wrapped up on Monday night after three days of deliberations. The congress emphasized the need to consider the current circumstances surrounding the Sahrawi cause to decisively win the fateful battle.
The member of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front, in charge of the Secretariat of the Political Organisation, Mr. Amrabih Mami Dai, in his closing speech, thanked the authorities and the people of wilaya of Dakhla for ensuring the success of this labor milestone. He praised the positive spirit and constructive discussions that characterized the conference sessions, reflected in the thorough presentations and studies of the committees (Basic Law, National Action Programs).
He also congratulated the newly elected leadership, urging them to work diligently and maintain discipline in coordination with the components of the Political Organization Bureau. He stressed the importance of considering the current situation of the cause, especially amid the escalating conflict with the Moroccan occupation on all fronts.
The final statement called on labor organizations worldwide to stand in solidarity with the Sahrawi people and support its legitimate struggle to achieve the highest human ideals of freedom, self-determination, justice, and the rejection of oppression.
The congress elected a new leadership for the union (Secretary-General, Executive Bureau, and Regional Bureaus). Nafei Ahmed Mohammed was elected Secretary-General for a four-year term, along with an Executive Bureau comprising the following members:

- Mohamed Salem Hamma Abdullah
- M’barek Sid Ahmed Mamin
- Rabab Hassana Brahim
- Bouzeid Mohamed Saleh
- Hammoudi M’barek Melis
The Regional Bureaus were appointed as follows:
- Toufa Jadou Bahia: Wilaya of El Aaiun
- Abida Sid Ahmed Salima: Wilaya of Smara
- Lahj Khatri Ali: Wilaya of Dakhla
- Maawina Salma Ergaibi: Wilaya of Auserd
- Khdeija Hammoudi Bayoun: Wilaya of Boujdour
- Sidi Mohamed Moustafa: Shaheed El Hafed
