Wilaya of Dakhla, April 19, 2025 (SPS) – The 8th International Labor Conference in Solidarity with the Sahrawi People has become a platform for supporting the Sahrawi people's just struggle for freedom and independence.
Participants in the conference, held today Saturday alongside the 10th Congress of the General Union of Workers of Saguia el-Hamra and Rio Oro (UGTSARIO) in Dakhla, emphasized the urgent need for global labor unions to pressure the Moroccan occupation to comply with international law. They called on the United Nations to fulfill its responsibility in ending the colonization of Africa's last remaining colony.
Labor unions reaffirmed their unconditional support for the Sahrawi cause and Sahrawi workers in their struggle for freedom and independence.
Speakers highlighted the necessity of forming a united front to advocate for the Sahrawi people's struggle, raise international awareness about Morocco's violations in occupied Western Sahara, and organize more international gatherings to end the injustice suffered by the Sahrawi people under 50 years of occupation and displacement.
