Shahid Al-Hafed, March 15, 2025 (SPS) - The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has issued a final decision in the case involving Algeria's USM Alger and Morocco's RS Berkane.
CAS published an official statement consisting of 38 pages, detailing the case that was won by the Algerian side based on legal grounds.
The statement announced the definitive closure of the case, confirming the prohibition of Moroccan clubs and national teams from wearing jerseys displaying fictitious maps or political slogans.
The court's decision came after it concluded that the shirt used by RS Berkane was in violation of the regulations of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA).
