Wilaya of Boujdour, December 24, 2024 (SPS) - The Swedish cyclists in solidarity with the Sahrawi people highlighted that their cycling tour, which has lasted over two years and covered 25 countries, aims to raise awareness about the situation in occupied Western Sahara and support the Sahrawi struggle.

In a statement to the Sahrawi News Agency (SPS) , the cyclists added that the journey also seeks to shed light on the last colony in Africa and expose the extent of human rights violations faced by the Sahrawi people at the hands of Moroccan occupation.

Benjamin Ladraa and Sanaa Qatbi emphasized that their presence in the Sahrawi refugee camps will provide an opportunity to meet with Sahrawi organizations and celebrate their arrival after this long journey.

It is noteworthy that the two activists chose to ride bicycles over a distance of 30,000 kilometers around the world for more than two years to speak and connect directly with people and highlight the Sahrawi cause. They have conducted over 200 interviews with global media and delivered 100 lectures at universities, public forums, and political gatherings in 25 countries.
