Shaheed El-Hafed, November 23, 2024 (SPS) - The Secretary-General of the National Union of Sahrawi Women (NUSW), Shaba Saini, held a press conference at the Media Archive, attended by Sahrawi media, where she discussed the final touches before commemorating the 50th anniversary of the founding of the National Union of Sahrawi Women.
During the conference, the Secretary-General pointed out the activities and programs that will form the core content of the events commemorating this anniversary, which will be celebrated on December 5 and 6 in the wilaya of Boujdour, Sahrawi refugee camps, with distinguished national and international attendance.
She announced the official logo that will represent the 50th anniversary of the Women's Union, along with the slogan "Sahrawi Woman: Half a Century of Sacrifice for Construction and Freedom."
Shaba Saini regarded the celebration of 50 years since the establishment of the National Union of Sahrawi Women as an opportunity to showcase the achievements of Sahrawi women in various fields.
She emphasized that supporting women as the backbone of the Sahrawi revolution and a vital element of the Polisario Front has allowed them to continuously benefit from this policy, enabling them to create a unique experience characterized by a pioneering role despite difficult circumstances.
