Badajoz (Spain), July 20, 2024 (SPS) - A reception ceremony was held Thursday at the headquarters of the Regional Council of the Badajoz region, for the Sahrawi peace envoys present in the Extremadura province, as part of the "Vacation in Peace" program for the year 2024.
The ceremony was attended by the presidents of the associations in solidarity with the Sahrawi people in Extremadura, Nur and Fedesaex, as well as officials from the Regional Council, some host families for the children, the representative in the province Habib Breika, and the deputy representative Alali Boucief.
The meeting was chaired by the President of the Regional Council, Miguel Ángel, who welcomed the Sahrawi children and wished them a good stay with the host families. He also expressed the continued commitment of the institutions of the Badajoz region to solidarity with the Sahrawi people, especially with the refugees.
