Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), July 18, 2024 (SPS) - The Sahrawi Republic is participating in launching the strategic framework of the Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for cross-border surveillance and information exchange in Addis Ababa from July 15 to 18.
The meeting discusses the new strategic plan, which seeks to enhance the capacity of African Union member states to address public health emergencies and infectious diseases, in addition to improving early detection and response, enhancing effective information exchange and increasing public awareness.
The meeting also addresses developing and improving health security and reducing the burden of infectious diseases.
The Sahrawi Republic is represented at this meeting by Takabir Al-Qaed Saleh, in Charge of the African Union File at the Ministry of Public Health.
