Harare, 18 June 2026 (SPS) – The President of Zimbabwe, H.E. Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, received Mr. Mohamed Yeslem Beissat, Minister of Foreign Affairs and African Affairs, acting as Special Envoy of President Brahim Ghali.
During the meeting, the Special Envoy delivered a written message from President Brahim Ghali to President Mnangagwa concerning the latest developments in the Sahrawi cause and the peace efforts being led by the United Nations.
On the occasion, the Zimbabwean President reaffirmed his country's absolute and unconditional solidarity with the struggle of the Sahrawi people for freedom and independence. He also expressed his satisfaction with the level of relations between Zimbabwe and the Sahrawi Republic.
President Mnangagwa further conveyed his sincere commitment to continuing the strengthening of bilateral relations so that they remain worthy of the longstanding fraternal and militant ties that have united the two peoples and countries since the years of their shared struggle against colonialism, racial discrimination, and foreign occupation.
