CGTP joins international campaign calling for Sahrawi people’s right to self-determination

Geneva (Switzerland), June 7, 2026 (SPS) – The General Confederation of Peruvian Workers (CGTP) has decided to join the international campaign advocating for the legitimate right of the Sahrawi people to self-determination and independence.

The announcement was made during a solidarity meeting with the Sahrawi General Union of Workers (UGTSARIO), held on the sidelines of the 114th Session of the International Labour Conference of the International Labour Organization (ILO), currently taking place in Geneva.

The CGTP was represented at the meeting by its President and its Secretary for Information and Communication.
