Smara Wilaya, April 20, 2026 (SPS) – Women’s delegations participating in the 10th Congress of the National Union of Sahrawi Women reaffirmed today, Monday, their firm positions supporting the struggle and resistance of the Sahrawi people until they achieve their full rights.
In this context, women’s delegations representing parties and organizations from Algeria, Mauritania, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Spain, and Portugal expressed their constant readiness to support Sahrawi women and their just cause.
In their remarks, some delegations expressed admiration for the struggle and resilience of Sahrawi women, considering it a role model in confronting occupation and its crimes. They stressed that the injustice and oppression suffered by the Sahrawi people constitute a crime against them and against humanity as a whole.
The proceedings of the 10th Congress of the National Union of Sahrawi Women began today, Monday, in Smara Wilaya, in the presence of the President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, along with members of the National Secretariat and the government, a large number of executives of the women’s organization, and international delegations in solidarity with the struggle of Sahrawi women.
