Quito (Ecuador), April 9, 2026 (SPS) – The National Committee for the Reorganization of the Ecuadorian Communist Party extended its warmest revolutionary greetings to the Sahrawi people and their sole legitimate representative, the Polisario Front, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the proclamation of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic.
In its message, the Ecuadorian Communist Party stressed that “the struggle and resistance are a living testament to the courage of the Sahrawi people in the face of colonial and imperialist practices that have targeted their land for five decades.”
The party also reaffirmed its firm and revolutionary position of solidarity with the Sahrawi people, based on its commitment to anti-colonial principles. In this context, it emphasized its support for the initiatives of the Ecuadorian Association of Friendship with the Sahrawi People, aimed at strengthening friendship and solidarity between the Ecuadorian and Sahrawi peoples.
