Shaheed El Hafed, April 5, 2026 (SPS) – The Sahrawi Ministry of Foreign Affairs and African Affairs has issued a fact sheet on the Sahrawi state on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the proclamation of the Sahrawi Republic.
The fact sheet highlights the proclamation of the Sahrawi Republic on its 50th anniversary, noting that it represents a concrete embodiment of sovereignty within the framework of international law, which recognizes the principle of peoples’ right to self-determination.
It also addresses the proclamation of the Sahrawi Republic since its founding, including the legal and political foundations upon which the Sahrawi state was established.
Furthermore, the document outlines the structure of the Sahrawi state and the characteristics of the Sahrawi people in building their emerging state.
