Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), March 11, 2026 (SPS) – The Sahrawi Republic is participating in a continental meeting on the digital transformation of healthcare, held in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa.
The opening session of the meeting was jointly presided over by the Ethiopian Minister of Health and the Director-General of the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC).
The Africa CDC aims to implement its Digital Transformation Strategy (2023–2027) to strengthen public health systems and support universal health coverage, while ensuring the integration of the priorities of the Northern region within this continental framework.
Representing the Sahrawi Republic at the meeting are Dr. Bashir Saleh, Head of the Studies Department and officer in charge of the Africa file at the Ministry of Public Health, and Takber Taleb Ennema, a nurse representing primary healthcare.
