Wilaya of Smara, 31 December 2025 (SPS) – The Ministry of Education and Vocational Training celebrated today, Wednesday, the National Day of Education, in the presence of the President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, accompanied by the Minister of Education and Vocational Training, member of the National Secretariat, Mr. Abdelkader Taleb Omar, as well as members of national institutions and officials from the educational sector.
The member of the National Secretariat, Minister of Education and Vocational Training, Mr. Abdelkader Taleb Omar, delivered a speech on the occasion in which he welcomed the attendees, considering the commemoration of the National Day of Education and the 50th anniversary of its founding an opportunity to recall the contributions of the workers of the educational system and all those who participated in this national effort, which has yielded great results in education and training. Many sons and daughters of the Sahrawi people have graduated in various fields and specializations and have contributed to the management and building of Sahrawi State institutions.
The minister praised the international partners cooperating in this sector.
The event witnessed the honoring of some martyrs of the profession, collaborators, members of the Cuban mission, and others who made significant contributions to this sector.
