Fabbrico (Italy), July 28, 2025 (SPS) – In a show of solidarity and a reaffirmation of their commitment to supporting the legitimate rights of the Sahrawi people, the municipality of Fabbrico in Italy’s Reggio Emilia province welcomed a group of Sahrawi children last Saturday as part of the summer program Vacations in Peace.
During the official reception, the mayor of Fabbrico expressed "his municipality’s strong support for the Sahrawi cause and the Sahrawi people’s legitimate struggle for self-determination."
The children received a warm welcome from representatives of local institutions and citizens, who expressed their solidarity with the Sahrawi people and stressed the importance of supporting their just cause.
In a related move, the Italian municipality of Castelnuovo renewed its commitment to the Sahrawi cause by hosting a group of Sahrawi children from refugee camps as part of the same program, Vacations in Peace.
