Shaheed El Hafed, June 29, 2025 (SPS) – The Sahrawi Jurists Union held its 7th General Assembly today, Sunday, under the slogan "The Sahrawi Jurists Union: A Struggle Front to Win the Legal Battle."
The event was attended by members of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front, the government, the National Council, and professional associations.
The proceedings included the presentation of the narrative and financial reports by the outgoing Secretary-General, as well as discussions on the challenges facing the Union at a time marked by legal battles in international courts. These efforts aim to defend the Sahrawi people’s right to independence and their natural resources, which are being plundered by the Moroccan occupier amid international silence.
At the conclusion of the event, the former Secretary-General, Moulay Ahmed Lebeheida, was re-elected for a new term at the helm of the Sahrawi Jurists Union.
