Ait Melloul (Morocco), July 26, 2023 (SPS) - The Association for the Protection of Sahrawi Prisoners in Moroccan Prisons reported that the Sahrawi civilian prisoner within the “Gedim Izik group” Mohamed Ahnini Bani was prevented from his right to medicine and treatment.
The Association reported that the prisoner Mohamed Bani told his wife after she called him, that Moroccan authorities in the prison of Ait Melloul 2 deliberately prevented him from transporting to the hospital outside the prison for medical examinations due to squeamishness.
The wife added to The Association for the Protection of Sahrawi Prisoners in Moroccan Prisons, that the Sahrawi civilian prisoner, Mohamed Bani suffers from squeamishness at the level of the right side of the body as a result of the miserable detaining conditions, in addition to the lack of health care and the means of hygiene inside the local prison Ait Melloul 2.
