Bejaia (Algeria), August 21, 2026 (SPS) – A Sahrawi delegation led by member of the National Secretariat, Sahrawi Ambassador to Algeria, Khatri Addouh, participated in the proceedings of the international forum on “The Culture of Resistance between History, Memory and Imagination,” held in the province of Bejaia on the occasion of commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Soummam Congress (1956–2026) and National Mujahid Day, under the high patronage of Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
The forum was attended by senior officials, prominent figures and members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Algeria, as well as experts, academics, professors and researchers.
The organization of the forum coincided with the activities of the 14th Summer University for Executives of the Sahrawi Republic and the Polisario Front, whose program includes lectures and seminars addressing the history of the Sahrawi people and its struggle against colonialism and Moroccan occupation.
The participation of the Sahrawi delegation in the forum provided an opportunity to highlight the historical experience of the Sahrawi people in resisting colonialism and occupation, and to link historical memory with the culture of resistance, as a fundamental component of preserving national identity and safeguarding collective memory.
