Shaheed El Hafed, July 7, 2026 (SPS) – Mr. Salek Baba Hasna took the legal oath on Tuesday before the President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, as a new member of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front.
The oath was administered under the supervision of the President of the Supreme Court, Mr. Hamdi Khalili Lahbib, in accordance with the Polisario Front's Basic Law adopted by the 16th Congress, particularly Article 90, which governs the oath-taking procedure for members of the National Secretariat and the process for filling vacancies within the body.
This appointment follows the vacancy created by the martyrdom of field commander Lahbib Mohamed Abdelaziz, commander of the First Combat Reserve Brigade, who was martyred alongside fellow fighters on the battlefield in early June.
