Shaheed El Hafed, June 25, 2026 (SPS) – The Minister of Public Health, Adda Ibrahim Ahmeim, on Thursday inaugurated a new facility dedicated to ear, nose, and throat (ENT) surgeries at the Health Complex in Shaheed El Hafed.
The ceremony was attended by the Director of the Health Complex and officials from the Ministry of Public Health.
The new department will provide medical services to citizens, including the treatment of conditions requiring surgical intervention for diseases affecting the ear, nose, and throat.
The department will also establish subsidiary units in all wilayas to bring medical services closer to citizens. These units will be staffed by a group of young men and women who have received specialized training in the field at the Health Complex under the supervision of an ENT specialist.
The initiative is expected to enhance access to specialized healthcare services and improve the quality of medical care available to the population across the Sahrawi refugee camps.
