Saint Petersburg (Russia), April 22, 2026 (SPS) – A Sahrawi delegation led by the Polisario Front’s representative in Moscow, Dr. Ali Salem Mohamed Fadel, began Tuesday a visit to Saint Petersburg University to participate in a specialized media conference organized by the university’s Faculty of Journalism and Media on Wednesday and Thursday.
The delegation includes the Director of the Sahrawi News Agency (SPS), Saleh Nafea, who was invited by the university’s Faculty of Journalism and Media.
The delegation held meetings with several professors and specialists in the field of media, particularly in its international dimension.
These meetings provided an opportunity to highlight the struggle of the Sahrawi people and the role of the Sahrawi News Agency in breaking the media blockade imposed on the Sahrawi cause, as well as in disseminating news and historical and legal information from the perspective of the Sahrawi government and the Polisario Front, the sole legitimate representative of the Sahrawi people.
According to the conference program, the Director of the Sahrawi News Agency is expected to deliver a presentation tomorrow at the university forum on the agency’s experience and how it has been able to provide its audience—objectively and professionally, and in various languages—with coverage of developments in Western Sahara, as well as the positions of the Polisario Front and the Sahrawi Republic’s government regarding the issue of Western Sahara as the last colony in Africa.
