Voting begins to elect new women’s leadership

Tuesday, April 21, 2026 (SPS) – Voting began on Tuesday evening to elect a new women’s leadership for the National Union of Sahrawi Women.

According to the electoral committee, the process is being conducted in two simultaneous stages: the first concerns the position of Secretary-General, for which two candidates are competing; the second involves the election of members of the executive office, with a total of 19 candidates running.

According to impressions shared by some conference participants in statements to SPS, the voting process is taking place under normal conditions, characterized by organization and transparency.
