Wilaya of Auserd, April 10, 2026 (SPS) – The President of the Sahrawi Red Crescent, Mr. Bouhbini Yahya, received the Russian delegation participating in the celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic.
The meeting addressed the trajectory of the humanitarian organization (the Sahrawi Red Crescent), which has accompanied the struggle of the Sahrawi people since the early days of the invasion and continues its work to this day, as well as its relations with international humanitarian organizations.
For his part, the head of the Moscow branch of the Russian Red Cross and leader of the disaster response team expressed his admiration for the Sahrawi experience in building structures and institutions, considering it a model for peoples striving to secure their rights.
He noted that Sahrawi refugees are not refugees in search of livelihood, but rather refugees of dignity awaiting their return to their homeland, expressing his and his team’s readiness to visit the refugee camps and contribute to alleviating their suffering.
