Moscow (Russia), February 17, 2026 (SPS) – The Communists of Russia Party has renewed its support for the Sahrawi people and their just cause, affirming that this stance stems from the principles of international legitimacy and the position of the Russian Federation in the United Nations Security Council.
In a statement issued by the party’s Central Committee, the party clarified that its solidarity with the Sahrawi people and their just cause is consistent with the traditional position of the Russian Federation, which stresses the necessity of a solution that enables the Sahrawi people to exercise their right to self-determination.
The statement added that the party’s position is based on international resolutions issued in this regard, which call for organizing a referendum on the self-determination of the Sahrawi people.
