Minister of Foreign Affairs and African Affairs reviews latest developments of Sahrawi cause

Shaheed El-Hafed, February 4, 2026 (SPS) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and African Affairs, Mr. Mohamed Yeslem Beissat, reviewed the latest developments and updates concerning the Sahrawi cause at all levels.

In his address during the first day of the 4th edition of the Arab Conference in Solidarity with the Sahrawi People, Mohamed Yeslem Beissat referred to the most recent UN Security Council resolution on the Sahrawi issue, Resolution 2797 (2025), stressing that it represents the minimum basis for continuing engagement with UN efforts to reach a just and fair solution that enables the Sahrawi people to exercise their legitimate right to freedom and independence.

On the military front, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and African Affairs pointed out that units of the Sahrawi People’s Liberation Army continue their heroic operations against the fortified positions of the occupation forces along the Wall of Shame and Disgrace.

Regarding the occupied territories front, Mr. Mohamed Yeslem Beissat noted that the Sahrawi masses continue their struggle despite the arrogance and repression of the occupation, renewing their pledge of loyalty and commitment to the Polisario Front, the sole and legitimate representative of the Sahrawi people.
