Shaheed El Hafed, 09 December 2025 (SPS) — The National Secretariat called on the European Union to comply with European and international law, expressing its condemnation of the agreement signed between the European Commission and Morocco, which shamefully circumvents the rulings of the European judiciary.
In a statement concluding the work of its eighth regular session, held under the chairmanship of the Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, President of the Republic, Mr. Brahim Ghali, the National Secretariat recalled judicial decisions issued by international and continental courts, including the ruling of the Court of Justice of the European Union dated 4 October 2024. It strongly condemned the agreement signed between the European Commission and Morocco, which disgracefully evades European court rulings.
The National Secretariat urged the European Union to comply with international law, international humanitarian law, and its own European legal framework with regard to Western Sahara. It affirmed that the Polisario Front will resort to all legal avenues to ensure respect for the Sahrawi people's sovereign rights, including challenging the mentioned agreement as well as commercial and fisheries agreements.
