Valencia (Spain), 22 November 2025 (SPS) – The Sahrawi Workers’ Union of Saguia El Hamra and Río de Oro (UGTSARIO) took part in the seventh congress of the Intersindical Union in Palencia, following an invitation from the union.
UGTSARIO was represented at the three-day congress by a delegation that included the UGTSARIO Head of External Relations, Cooperation, Media, and Communities , Mohamed Salem Hamma Abdallah, accompanied by the POLISARIO Front’s representative in UGTSARIO, Mr. Elmami Abidi, along with a large number of political parties, international trade unions, and civil society organizations.
The Sahrawi delegation held several bilateral meetings with participating labor unions to strengthen trade-union solidarity and joint cooperation.
The congress will continue until 23 November 2025, during which the trade-union leadership will be elected and the recommendations and final communiqué will be approved.
