Shaheed El-Hafed, 3 November 2025 (SPS) – Spanish television conducted a special interview with the Secretary-General of the National Union of Sahrawi Women, dedicated to discussing the prominent role played by Sahrawi women since the very beginning of the Sahrawi revolution.
During the interview, the Secretary-General reviewed the struggle path of Sahrawi women, who have been a fundamental pillar of the national liberation movement, both in the field of resistance and in building national institutions in the camps of dignity and pride.
She emphasized that Sahrawi women have remained a symbol of resilience and defiance, preserving the values of the revolution and national identity in the face of attempts at erasure and colonial domination.
The interview also covered the contributions of the National Union of Sahrawi Women in promoting Sahrawi women in the fields of training, education, political, cultural, social, and economic empowerment, and defending women’s rights at national and international levels, alongside efforts to raise awareness of the justice of the Sahrawi cause in international forums.
