Wilaya of Boujdour, October 26, 2025 (SPS) – The 19th edition of the cultural event for Art and Human Rights (Artifariti), opened today, Sunday, in the Wilaya of Boujdour, with the participation of artists and creators from various continents of the world.
The opening ceremony was attended by the President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, accompanied by the Prime Minister, member of the National Secretariat, Mr. Buchraya Hamoudi Beyoun, the Minister of Culture, Mr. Moussa Salma, along with members of the National Secretariat, the government, and officials from the Sahrawi Ministry of Culture.
In his opening speech, the Minister of Culture, Moussa Salma, welcomed the delegations from different countries who endured the effort of travel to take part in Artifariti, expressing gratitude to the Sahrawi authorities for providing all necessary conditions and facilities, especially the Wilaya of Boujdour, which has consistently hosted cultural and solidarity activities in support of the Sahrawi people.
The Minister praised the “great solidarity” shown by the delegations participating in this cultural event, as well as by numerous Spanish associations — among them the Seville Association, which has supported the organization of the event — in addition to the individual artists, politicians, and volunteers committed to just causes.
The President of the Republic toured the various workshops of the event, hosted at the School of Music and Arts in the Wilaya of Boujdour, where he received detailed explanations from the supervisors of the workshops, which reflect different aspects of the Sahrawi people's struggle.
Artifariti is considered an international forum on arts and human rights that brings together Sahrawi artists and their counterparts from around the world in defense of the Sahrawi cause.
