Sahrawi civilian prisoner begins warning hunger strike

Ait Melloul (Morocco), September 15 (SPS) - The Sahrawi civilian prisoner, Mohamed Hasana Ahmed Salem Bourial, a member of the Gdeim Izik group, has begun a 48-hour warning hunger strike.

According to a Sahrawi human rights source, this strike is in protest of the deteriorating and appalling detention conditions inside the prison and the ongoing violations of his basic rights.

This protest action is a denunciation of the prison administration's policy of deliberate disregard for all demands related to improving the inhumane detention conditions, as well as putting an end to the policy of racial discrimination to which he is subjected.
