Kampala, 8 September 2025 (SPS) – The Chairman of the Pan-African Pyramid, Andrew Irumba Katusabe, emphasized that the issue of Western Sahara is a matter of African justice that obligates all African peoples to support and advocate for it, embodying the principles and foundations laid by the founding fathers of the Organization of African Unity.

In his address on Monday at Kampala International University, which hosted an awareness lecture under the slogan “Quest for Justice in Western Sahara,” Mr, Katusabe affirmed the role of African youth in achieving justice and building the continent. He pointed out that the issue of Western Sahara is a matter of African justice that requires all African peoples to support and advocate for it, in line with the principles established by the founding fathers of the Organization of African Unity.

During the event, the speaker highlighted the role of youth movements in promoting democracy and achieving unity and justice in Africa. He noted that youth are the only force capable of realizing the dream of the founding fathers to build a liberated and integrated Africa.

He added that Western Sahara remains the last colony in Africa.

He stated that the struggle to enable the Sahrawi people to achieve their right to freedom is not the battle of the Sahrawi people alone but "Africa's unfinished cause," stressing that "African unity will not be complete as long as there is a single inch of Africa that is not free."
