
Shaheed El-Hafed, September 3, 2025 (SPS) - A delegation from the British Foreign Office visited the Sahrawi side over the past two days to learn about the latest developments in the Sahrawi issue.
The visit included meetings with Sahrawi officials and delegations of women and youth, human rights organizations, and non-governmental organizations, in addition to visits to various social and economic facilities.
At the conclusion of its visit, the British delegation had the opportunity to meet with Sahrawi officials to discuss the current situation and prospects of the UN-led peace process. The Sahrawi side reaffirmed its full and constructive cooperation with the United Nations' efforts to expedite the decolonization of Western Sahara by enabling the Sahrawi people to exercise their inalienable, non-negotiable, and imprescriptible right to self-determination and independence, in accordance with relevant United Nations and African Union resolutions.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and African Affairs, Mr. Mohamed Yeslem Beissat, had previously visited London, where he met with various British officials and discussed with them the latest developments in the Sahrawi issue and the prospects for a solution that guarantees the Sahrawi people's legitimate right to freedom and self-determination.
