
Kampala (Uganda), August 28, 2025 (SPS) - President of the National Council, Member of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front, Mr. Hamma Salama, praised Thursday the relations between the Republic of Uganda and the Sahrawi Republic, their deep-rooted historical ties, and their shared vision for a free and prosperous Africa.
In his speech at the congress of Uganda's National Resistance Movement in the Ugandan capital, Kampala, the President of the National Council reviewed the historical links that specifically connect the Polisario Front with Uganda's National Resistance Movement, and more broadly with African national liberation movements, within the context of the shared struggle against all forms of colonialism in Africa.
The President of the National Council conveyed the greetings of Mr. Brahim Ghali, President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, to the leadership and fighters of Uganda's National Resistance Movement.
He emphasized that the Sahrawi people continue to rely on Uganda's steadfast support, solidarity, and advocacy until the full principles and objectives of the African Union are achieved, following the path of the founding fathers, and as a continuation of the journey to liberate the African continent and eradicate colonialism from it.
The President of the National Council is participating, representing the President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, in the proceedings of the congress of Uganda's National Resistance Movement.
