Moscow (Russia), August 21, 2025 (SPS) - El Joudour band, affiliated with the Sahrawi Ministry of Culture, arrived Wednesday in the Russian capital, Moscow, to participate as a guest of honor in the International Festival of Ethnic Music. The invitation was extended by the Pyotr Tchaikovsky State Music Institute.
The band was received at Sheremetyevo International Airport by the representative of the Polisario Front in Russia, Dr. Ali Salem Mohamed Fadel, accompanied by friends and solidarity activists.
The band will perform at the official gala this evening at 7:00 PM in the concert hall of the historic Pyotr Tchaikovsky State Music Institute in central Moscow. A large audience of enthusiasts for this traditional art form is expected, alongside the participation of friends in solidarity with the struggle of the Sahrawi people.
Included in the band's program are other artistic galas, the recording of an album, and other activities, all aimed at raising awareness of the Sahrawi cause. This will be achieved by amplifying the voice of the Sahrawi people through their revolutionary, poetic words and authentic Sahrawi melodies.
