Boumerdès, August 13, 2025 (SPS) - The president of the Summer University for Polisario Front and Sahrawi State Executives, Mr. Mrabih El-Mami Dai, who is also the official of the political organization secretariat, oversaw the closing ceremony of the 13th edition of the Summer University. This edition was named after the martyr Dah Al-Bandir Brehah, under the slogan "Struggle and sacrifice to impose independence and freedom."
The closing ceremony was attended by the governor of Boumerdès province, Ms. Fawzia Naama, the president of the Algerian National Committee for Solidarity with the Sahrawi People, Dr. Said Al-Ayachi, as well as official delegations and representatives from the diplomatic corps accredited in Algeria, and various Algerian political and civil society organizations.
The head of the university thanked the governor of Boumerdès province, the Algerian National Committee for Solidarity with the Sahrawi People, and all the parties that contributed to the success of this edition of the Summer University.
The member of the National Secretariat affirmed that the Sahrawi revolution, the May 20th revolution, draws from the Algerian revolution, the November 1st revolution, the finest lessons of steadfastness, resistance, struggle, heroism, courage, and sacrifice.
He added that during the summer university, the executives of the Polisario Front benefited from various forms of thought, science, and knowledge from an elite group of Algeria's finest sons and their Sahrawi comrades, including professors, researchers, and specialists in various fields.
The Sahrawi official highlighted that the closing of the event comes at a time when the Sahrawi people are fighting their national liberation war amidst successive field developments resulting from their sovereign decision to resume the armed struggle, in response to Morocco's blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement on November 13, 2020.
The Summer University for Polisario Front and Sahrawi State Executives’ activities continued for ten days, including scientific, cultural, solidarity, and media activities, with the participation of more than 400 cadres representing various institutions of the Sahrawi state.
